Bio

Born in Los Angeles, California, Erin Yoshi was inspired at an early age by her parents to create.  Yoshi obtained her Masters in Business Administration focusing on International Sustainability and is a self-taught artist.  Yoshi now lives out her dreams and pursue self-expression through visual art.  Her artwork is a reflection of the struggle within our neighborhoods, communities, and the paradigms of social injustice and class struggles.  Yoshi merges portraits, characters and dream worlds infused with delicate brush strokes.  She prides herself as a painter, photographer, muralist and rider with the Trust Your Struggle Collective. Her murals have a collaborative component that allows community involvement from inception to finished work.  Her work has been featured in Vibe, Ruckus, Spirit Magazine, El Tiempo and Time Out New York. Yoshi has left her imprint internationally, creating murals in Mexico, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Honduras, Colombia, Chile and across the United States.  Her attributes range from a grant writer, muralista, spray can enthusiast, activist and hustler at large.
